「物の哀れ」とは「もののあわれ」のことです。すべての物事の無常に対する意識と、それが過ぎ去ることへの穏やかな悲しみや哀愁を表しています。

"Mono no aware" is "the pathos of things." It is the awareness of the impermanence of all things and the gentle sadness and wistfulness at their passing.
